摘要： Rice kernel smut caused by Neovossia horrida was a main disease on the male sterile lines in hybrid rice seed production in China, with a loss of 6.10% approx 25.45% in normal years, affecting severely the yield and the quality of hybrid rice seed production. Pan et al. (1995) reported that there were 2 approx 3 months between the teliospores germination period and the rice flowering infection stage. The secondary sporidia produced by teliospores germination were not the main inocula of the disease in field. Now, where are the inocula of the disease from in field?
